First Day of School Year Classes on Tuesday

Whew! We’re excited to kick off our school year classes this week! Tuesday after Labor Day was our first day back, and it did not disappoint. We added more balance beams and panel mats along with rings for our boys program plus some balancing equipment to strengthen our ankles and engage or cores.

On Tuesday, we welcomed gymnasts in a variety of classes. We started with a private lesson for a talented dancer who is working to master her aerial cartwheel, back handsprings, a few other skills. She had an amazing first day back!

We also had some brand new precious preschoolers join us, and they did great! I can tell they’re going to have a fantastic year.

We also launched our Boys Gymnastics program with 3 returning and 1 new gymnast including my son on the left. I’m so excited for this! Their strength was really awesome on day 1. πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

We added an additional beginner class for ages 4-7 since we had wait lists in both of the other ones. We had a few familiar faces in the gym including my daughter third from the left. And one of our beginners started in a gymnastics class with mommy, progressed to preschool gymnastics and now is starting the season in beginner. I’m so proud of you, Makenzie! πŸ‘πŸ» These girls worked hard and tried new things. πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ» It’s going to be a great group!

Here are our first 3 classes warming up with their bear crawls and frog leaps.

Our Beginner Ages 4-5 class was amazing! We had many gymnasts return from last year, gymnastics camp, or join us from swim lessons this summer, and we welcomed lots of new friends, as well! πŸ€— Several gymnasts in this class were with us at the community center where we started or they started with mommy last year and moved up to preschool gymnastics and now beginner. πŸŽ‰ πŸ™ŒπŸ» I must say our gymnasts who have started early are showing lots of strength πŸ’ͺ🏻 and talent πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ in our beginner classes, especially those who came this summer. β˜€οΈ It’s an exciting time! Just look at all this talent! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Here they are practicing their backbends, walking on the balance beam, trying front supports and kitty cats on the bars, and doing cartwheels.

In addition to launching our Boys Gymnastics program, we also added an advanced class for ages 4+ this year. Half of these gymnasts were with us last year and/or during the summer in classes or gymnastics camp. They brought talented friends with them, too. I’m very excited to see everything we can accomplish with this group! They had an excellent first day! πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»

Here they are walking in their backbends. They’re warming up some front limbers in the following video.

We also started working turns on the beams.

We also launched an Advanced Extended class for ages 4+. This class gives us an additional 40 minutes of class time to continue our gymnastics progress. It’s more fun time in the gym and helps gymnasts progress faster, get stronger, and excel in gymnastics. It’s an excellent addition to the Advanced Gymnastics class, so I was thrilled to have a couple of our very talented gymnasts sign up!

On the bars, they’re both super close to mastering a couple skills. Here Addison is showing her glide and progress towards her glide kip. Hopefully, I’ll be posting some mastered skills for them in the very near future!

I look forward to seeing their strength and skills blossom! And that goes for every class. We saw the most amazing progress in all classes last year. I know this year will be even better, especially with our motivated staff!

We welcome Miss Stephanie, a mom and aunt to two of our gymnasts, who started in our Gymnastics with Mom class last September. We also welcome Miss Haylee, a junior at Chelsea High School, who is very excited to work with your children. They bring a lot of enthusiasm with them, and I look forward to watching them grow as instructors. They were wonderful on their first day in our gym and your children really enjoyed them, so I can’t wait to see everything they’ll accomplish!

That was our first successful day back in the gym. I look forward to sharing about Thursday classes next. If you want to join us for an unforgettable year of amazing experiences including gymnastics skills and discovering one’s self and confidence, register today!

Have a great and successful day!

Sincerely,

Sara Beth Signature
